PLS Insulated Mineral Fibre / Plasterboard Laminates
This product is a laminate of Mineral Fibre Lamella Slab and Gypsum based Duplex Plasterboard.
It is available in a range of thicknesses to improve thermal and acoustic insulation levels in new or existing structures.
Thermal Conductivity
Mineral fibre Lamella Slab = 0.035 w/mk
Plasterboard = 0.16 w/mk
Fire
Both products in this composite achieve a very high degree of fire safety and when tested achieves Class ‘o’ (A1) as defined in Building Regulations.
Water Resistance
This product will not transmit water due to the vapour control layers in it’s production.
Acoustic Performance
The product is exceptionally good at reducing sound transmission for separating walls within buildings.
Thermal Performance
Your example of 52.5 mm overall would achieve a U value of 0.57 w/m2k in a brick and dense block work configuration. It could achieve 0.47 w/m2k in a brick and lightweight block structure.

Direct mechanical fixing with nailable plugs etc.
